Lourdes Foundation attracts, manages, and channels philanthropic resources to ensure a vital Catholic education at Lourdes High School.

OUR VISION
Lourdes Foundation is a catalyst for the growth and expansion of Lourdes High School through excellence in education.

Aware of the ongoing fiscal challenges of operating a private Catholic high school, Lourdes Foundation was established in 1974 by a group of people who recognized the need to create an independent source of financial support for Lourdes High School.  The foundation was subsequently incorporated as an independent nonprofit organization with 5601c3 status.

Foundation leadership includes an independent board of directors separate from the Rochester schools which oversees and manages a portfolio including marketable securities, private investments, and real estate in the City of Rochester adjacent to the high school.  A portion of the portfolio return is given annually in the form of grants and scholarships to LHS.  Directors are elected to a three-year term and serve without compensation. 

The Foundation serves as an organization that unites LHS graduates, parents of current and past students, faculty, staff, and friends of Lourdes who share a common commitment of support for:

• Preserving the history and traditions of Lourdes High School
• Providing financial support to the school to enhance student activities, educational goals, religious values, staff enrichment, and facility improvements
• Promoting community involvement

With the sustained generosity of our benefactors and judicial investment management by the Board, we look to the future with faith and confidence in our vision.  We hope you will join us in this vital endeavor!
