Dear Lourdes Foundation Community and Stakeholders,
It is with mixed emotions that I write today to inform you that Lynn Farrell, Executive Director of Lourdes Foundation, has accepted a position at Mayo Clinic in patient care. Please join the Board of Directors and me in extending to Lynn our best wishes and our profound gratitude for her dedication, commitment and contributions during her tenure with us. Her last day is July 3.
The duties of the Executive Director will be supported in collaboration with the Rochester Catholic Schools Department of Advancement and the Lourdes Foundation Board of Directors. If you need assistance, please call our office at (507) 289-2584.
Sincerely,
Darci S. Kopischke
President, Lourdes Foundation Board of Directors
Please watch for Lourdes Foundation's Spring 2017 Aquila in your mailbox. We invite you to read about how Rochester Catholic Schools contribute to the vitality of the greater community, what alumni say about returning to their roots, and why Lourdes Foundation scholarships continue to impact students today and into the future. In addition, we hope you enjoy the Aquila's new cover design and this issue's special gift offer. If you do not currently receive the Aquila in the mail and would like to be added to the mailing list, please contact Heidi Cafarella at hcafarella@lfimn.org. The new Aquila also is available online.
In appreciation of gifts of $55 or more, get this 5x7 metallic print of the "Stained Glass Seasons of Life" from the chapel of Lourdes High School. This special gift comes in a linen/cardboard stand and includes a prayer written especially for the Lourdes Community by Sisters Jutta Gleichauf and Therese Jilk, OSF.
The stained glass was a gift to Lourdes from the Franciscan Sisters. The original panels were carefully removed from the Tau Center at the College of St. Teresa in Winona. The architects worked it into the design of the chapel of the new school.

Nurses Honored with Quilts of Valor
Mary (Kennedy) Price was honored with a "Quilt of Valor" for her service as a nurse in the Army Nurse Corps in South Vietnam.
